Letter S Books for a Toddler

Just another "letter of the week" book list! I couldn't find anything else that quite fit what I was looking for so I'm saving my lists and observations for use in the future. This is compiled from several sites on the internet and my own browsing at the library. Tops picks are based on the interest of a 3 year old. My top picks have significant repetition of the letter sound and hold a toddler's attention.

The regulars:
My S Book, Jane Belk Moncure
Ss, Kelly Doudna

Top picks:
Sleep Like a Tiger, Mary Logue
Sandcake, Frank Asch
"Slowly, Slowly, Slowly" Said the Sloth, Eric Carle
Sheep in a Shop, Nancy Shaw
Sheep on a Ship, Nancy Shaw
My Five Senses, Aliki
The Skunk, Mac Barnett
Sammy Salami, Jerry Smath, This is a long book that ordinarily my toddler wouldn't get through, but for whatever reason it captured her attention and was one of her favorites.
Square, Mac Barnett
Shh! We Have a Plan, Chris Haughton

Books Other Children May Enjoy:
Sounds All Around, Wendy Pfeffer, This was too long and indepth on each page for us to get through.
Stella Star of the Sea, Marie Louise Gay, My toddler just didn't get into this one.
Shells! Shells! Shells! Nancy Elizabeth Wallace, This book was very interesting but we never got all the way through it. Definitely try with older children.
Strega Nona, Tomie dePaola, I love this book, but it was too long for a toddler!

What I don't recommend:
Seven Blind Mice, Ed Young, Much better for the letter M!
Shadow, Suzy Lee, This is illustrations only. Other people may be able to work with this, though!
Snowy Sunday, Phyllis Root
Click Clack Splish Splash, Doreen Cronin, This is a counting book!
Steam Train, Dream Train, Sherri Duskey Rinker
